Greetings!

We are the ladies of the Delta Pi chapter of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Incorporated on the campus of Jackson State University.

 

Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc. is an organization of college-educated women committed to the constructive development of it's members and to public service with a primary focus on the black community. Our organization was founded on sisterhood, scholarship, and service in 1913 by our twenty-two dynamic founders at Howard University. The programs that we implement are based on our national Five Point Programmatic Thrust:

Economic Development

Educational Development

International Awareness and Involvement

Physical and Mental Health

Political Awareness and Involvement

 

The Delta Pi chapter has hosted and will continue to host a multitude of programs, events, and service projects this year that encourage growth and development in our surrounding and distant communities. Those seeking membership in the Delta Pi Chapter of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Incorporated must have attended M.I.P on December 4, 2009 and must attend the Spring Informational.
Important: Your MIP receipt and school ID is required for admittance into our RUSH/Spring Informational
 
INFORMATION REGARDING MEMBERSHIP INTAKE:
DUE TO COMPLICATIONS WITH THE WATER SYSTEM THE CAMPUS OF JACKSON STATE UNIVERSITY HAS BEEN CLOSED UNTIL FURTHER NOTICE. 
 
APPLICATION PACKETS ARE STILL DUE WEDNESDAY, JANUARY 13, 2010 ON THE CAMPUS OF JACKSON STATE UNIVERSITY AT THE OFFICE OF UNDERGRADUATE RECRUITMENT  BETWEEN THE HOURS OF 12:00PM (NOON) AND 3:00PM.
 PLEASE PARK ACROSS THE STREET FROM THE UNDERGRADUATE RECRUITMENT BUILDING WHEN DROPPING OFF PACKETS. THE GATES TO ENTER THE CAMPUS WILL BE CLOSED.

 Admission consists of either $7.00 with donation (i.e. socks, hats, gloves, mittens, coats, etc.) or $10.00 without a donation. Our goal is to collect 2,200 clothing items to donate to the children of the Boys and Girls Club and women through Soles for Souls.
 
 INFORMATION REGARDING FOUNDER'S DAY CELEBRATION:
DUE TO COMPLICATIONS WITH THE WATER SYSTEM THE CAMPUS OF JACKSON STATE UNIVERSITY WILL BE CLOSED UNTIL FURTHER NOTICE. THE FOUNDER'S DAY PROGRAM WILL BE POSTPONED. Updates on the new date, time, and location can be found here.
